Ask For More

No, folks, this has nothing to do with Pepsi.

Within the last week of November I posted 2 treasure hunt questions meant for my fans in KK. We are so short of hunts here. It's my modest attempt to keep the interest going while waiting for the next hunt—whenever that's gonna be!

Well, my questions were well-answered—mostly by the KL masters; but sadly, no Sabahans have been able to answer them perfectly up to now. Those questions were intended for an individual effort—not a team effort. I have received several emails from hunters, asking for more questions.

I will be going around town this weekends to chart a training hunt for my own team members later this month. And I also need to make some early preparations for an open walk-hunt planned for early next year.

So perhaps I can take a picture or two and then throw some questions into my blog. But before I do that, I want to get over with the 2 questions I posted in November. So I intend to close those questions and then reveal the answers/explanations by this weekends in order to make way for the new ones.

Some of you might still want to try, so please don't miss the opportunity—check 'em out here. Remember that I require both answers to come with explanations to qualify as a valid submission.

Good luck, and stay tuned for the new questions.

CK,

Your question is not an original one. A few other hunters have asked me that very same question before. And I had to reluctantly say NO. Don't worry, my friend, the same set of questions will eventually get to you hunters. I use them in my open hunts.

Whenever I do an open hunt, my team members can't join because I need their help to do the open hunt. So they're deprived of the field trainings. The next best thing I can do is to give them the field training first—running on their own under strict hunt conditions; tulips, time control etc. That way, while I help to promote treasure hunts here in KK, I also don't neglect my own team members.

However, while I was hunting in the recent AMC hunt last week, I noticed that the CoC's team members were also hunting—they teamed up with other hunters. And no one seemed to complain. In fact they eventually won that hunt too!

I am completely satisfied that they won on merit—they're grandmasters and there's indeed no reason to suspect cheating!

And so, I might just consider my own team members to hunt in an open hunt I organise in the future. I don't think they're able to beat the strong local teams anyway!

I'd like to announce that I've since received several more attempts.

I received a successful attempt from a V. Nagappan. The other attempts were either partially correct or totally wrong. I am sad that we still don't have Sabahans with impeccable answers up to now, but I hope it doesn't reflect our hunting ability. I am fairly certain that some Sabahan masters are watching keenly from the sidelines, but refraining from submitting their answers.

I am very proud and happy to announce that I have finally received a successful submission from Eileen Yeoh, a Sabahan hunter just shortly ago. And it's about time too!

Perhaps we Sabahans like to wait for the last minute to make a grand entry... hehehe. Congratulations to Eileen, and I hope she'll attempt my future questions too.

I just hope that she won't beat my team too badly the next time we compete against each other!
